Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts
The collection of the UCLA Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts comprises more than 45,000 prints, drawings, photographs, and artists' books dating from the Renaissance to the present. Established in 1956 with a substantial gift from Fred Grunwald, the collection has been steadily enriched through significant acquisitions and donations. A primary resource for teaching and research, the Grunwald Center houses one of the most significant collections of works on paper in the country.
The all-new Grunwald Center is open by appointment for individual and class visits, Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm. Object selection, to be made in advance in consultation with a staff member, should include no more than 15 objects (or fewer, depending on accessibility, fragility, and size). Please email grunwald@hammer.ucla.edu or call 310-443-7078 to schedule an appointment. Please allow two weeks' lead time for individual appointment requests, and four weeks for classes.
