A Malleable History: An Art Making Workshop with Umar Rashid
MONDAY MAY 17, 2021 7 PM PDT
Organized by the Hammer Student Association
Led by Made in L.A. 2020 artist Umar Rashid, this online workshop focuses on creative intervention into historic moments to imagine alternative narratives and new futures. Participants will learn about Rashid’s work and then create a drawing or mapping project that envisions a utopian outcome to an historic event. Come to the workshop with a specific historic moment in mind and some drawing supplies.
