Even amidst calls for inclusivity, contemporary feminist discourse tends to prioritize issues historically attributed to white, cis-het women: individual needs, specific reproductive rights, and white collar professionalism. Koa Beck, author of the new book White Feminism: From the Suffragettes to Influencers and Who They Leave Behind, joins author and activist Julia Serano in conversation around the shortcomings of mainstream feminism and the potential of solidarity.
